Wet weather & cancellations
Not sure if footy's on? Here's exactly where and when we post training and game cancellations when the weather turns.
The quick answer: if training or a game is cancelled, we'll post it on our Facebook page as early as we can. When in doubt, check there first.
Where it's posted
Cancellations go up on the club Facebook page and, for matches, via your team manager.
When you'll know
Training: typically by [CONFIRM: cut-off time for training calls] on the day. Games: ground closures are usually decided by the council/league on the morning — we'll relay it as soon as we hear.
Ground closures
In heavy rain, grounds can be closed by the [CONFIRM: council / BJFL] to protect the surface. That call sits with them, not the club.
Extreme heat. Junior matches may also be modified or cancelled under hot-weather guidelines. We follow the BJFL/AFL heat policy. [CONFIRM: link to the heat policy the club follows.]
